It’s Conservation Week (5 September to 11 September) and this year’s theme is take a moment to act for nature.
One of the ways you can take action is to volunteer and we’ve got a great opportunity for you to do your bit for the environment locally by joining our Spring planting day this Saturday, from 10am to 1pm.
All you need to bring is gumboots or old shoes, a raincoat, gardening gloves and snacks and water.
There are loads of other ways you can be part of Conservation Week – you could grow a native plant or pick up rubbish in your local area. You could even join a citizen science project, where hundreds of people around the world support researchers, undertaking online tasks from the comfort of their own home.
Check out the Conservation Week website for events in your local area, other activities to try or to download a poster for your school or workplace or a wallpaper for your computer or phone in the digital resources area.
